Bday weekend itinerary
El Plan del Finde de Cumple!
Friday is our arrival day and a gentle start to the weekend. As guests arrive, they will be welcomed with a reception featuring local Colombian appetizers at the hotel. Around 4:00 PM, we’ll gather for our official welcome. As the sun sets, we’ll come together around a bonfire to celebrate being together and express gratitude for this shared moment.
Day 1 - Friday / Dia 1 - Viernes
Saturday is the heart of the weekend. We’ll start with breakfast at the hotel, followed by optional nature experiences such as a coffee tour, horseback riding, a waterfall hike, pool time, or a massage. Around midday, we’ll return to our rooms to get ready for a traditional Colombian lunch, with vegan and gluten-free options available. After lunch, we’ll spend time playing games, connecting, and enjoying being together. As the sun sets, we’ll change for dinner and party time, with music, dancing, and a night of celebration. You might even see me DJ!

Después, compartiremos juegos, conversaciones y tiempo juntos.
Sunday is about slowing down. We’ll enjoy breakfast together, followed by free time to relax and enjoy the space. The hotel has a spa for those who’d like a massage. We’ll begin heading out around noon, with the option to stay longer and continue exploring the Coffee Region.
Day 3 - Sunday / Dia 3 - Domingo

Do you recommend staying longer in Colombia? What itineraries do you suggest?
Yes, absolutely. Colombia is incredibly diverse, and one of the best parts of visiting is that you can shape the trip around what you enjoy most. If you’re looking for beaches and relaxation, Santa Marta and the Rosario Islands are a perfect start. If you’re drawn to jungle, nature, and adventure, destinations like the Coffee Region, the Amazon, or the Pacific coast offer unforgettable landscapes. For those who love cities, culture, and food, Medellín and Bogotá are vibrant and creative hubs. And if what you want is music, dancing, and celebration, Barranquilla during Carnival is an experience you will never forget.
I highly recommend doing Barranquilla Carnival the week before my birthday. It takes place from February 14–17 and is one of the biggest cultural parties in Latin America. It’s pure joy, music, color, and energy, and it pairs beautifully with the calm and grounding energy of the Coffee Region afterward.
If you work remotely, Colombia is also an amazing place to slow down and stay longer. Smaller towns in the Coffee Region are perfect for focus, nature, and balance, while Medellín offers a more technical, startup-friendly vibe, great infrastructure, cafés, coworking spaces, and a strong digital community.
For a 1-week trip, I recommend combining one city or experience with the Coffee Region and the birthday weekend. For a 2-week trip, you can mix beaches, Carnival, cities, and nature, with the birthday weekend right in the middle as a grounding and celebratory pause!
If you’d like to stay longer, let me know, I’d love for you to feel right at home. Feel free to ask any questions <3
